Legal and other requirements

The procedure for the identification of legal and other requirements is:

1. Review the list of legal and other requirements currently subscribed to by the organisation

2.Through a workshop with the sustainability team an interactive exercise to identify how the organisation ensures access to current and emerging legal and other requirements including:

  • Membership of organisations to associations and Sustainability Working Groups.

  • Staff member with legal responsibilities

  • Review of industry best practice in relation to legal requirements

  • Participation in industry leadership initiatives which are setting new industry legal standards e.g. WRAP Roadmap

3. Through a workshop with the sustainability team an interactive exercise to ensure applicable legal requirements and other requirements subscribed to are taken into account and complied with in establishing, implementing and maintaining the management system

4. If relevant to the scope, through a workshop with the sustainability team, an interactive exercise on how to aspire to achieve international best practice in countries where the law does not provide for minimal safeguards.

5. This procedure will be implemented and reviewed annually during the sustainability team workshop
