Education
Since 2005 Positive Impact has existed to provide education to create a sustainable event sector. In 2022 the criteria of the Race to Zero campaign (an initiative supporting the mandate of UN Climate Change High Level Champions) included a requirement for 'engagement activity' to advance net zero commitments and it became clear to the Positive Impact team that existing Positive Impact education could support this.
The decision was made to submit Positive Impact's education to the world's leading and largest independent Continuing Professional Development accreditation institution operating across all industry sectors.
Since September 2022 professionals from all sectors (including marketing, HR and sustainability) can access Positive Impact education and be eligible for CPD hours. Each of our education options below provides a specific number of CPD hours.

FAQ
-
Professional bodies often use the terms ‘CPD hours’, ‘CPD points’ or ‘CPD credits’ typically due to historical reasons based on the approach they took when implementing their CPD policy.
CPD points relate to CPD hours. The definition of a CPD hour is the time spent for a delegate in ‘active learning’. Active learning describes the actual time spent learning relevant to the continuing professional development objectives. The majority of professional bodies use CPD hours as their continuing professional development measure and where CPD points or credits are used, these are typically 1:1 with CPD hours i.e. 1 CPD point equals 1 CPD hour.
For more information see the CPD website.
