Operational planning and control
The procedure for planning, implementing and controlling the procedures needed to meet the management system requirements and implement the actions to address risks and opportunities is:
1. Through workshop with the sustainability team an interactive exercise:
Identify procedures are already in existence
Identify what procedures are in place for those activities critical to the successful implementation of the management system where their absence could lead to a departure from the governing principles of sustainable development, purpose, values, policy, objectives and targets (including emergency situations and suppliers)
Establish a criteria for new procedures (including how these procedures will be controlled)
Identify how to maintain procedures in place for those activities critical to the successful implementation of the management system Where their absence could lead to a departure from the governing principles of sustainable development, purpose, values, policy, objectives and targets (including emergency situations and suppliers)
2. Allocate responsibility for control of the processes’ and have a regular review with top management
3. Review the procedures in accordance with event sustainability management system requirements at regular sustainability team meetings
4. Control planned changes through the sustainability team meetings
5. Review consequences of unintended changes at regular sustainability team meetings (and take action to mitigate adverse effects as required)
6. Through workshop with the sustainability team an interactive exercise to Identify how outsourced processes are/could be controlled
7. This procedure will be implemented and reviewed annually during the sustainability team workshop
