Unite to Act Ambassador Sessions

As part of Positive Impact’s wider campaign to help the event industry to advance the SDGs, we are creating an opportunity for you, our global ambassadors to share your successes.

As our community grows we have heard from YOU that this is a priority and we are excited to give you a platform on which you can share your journeys, stories and experiences with over 1,800 others in YOUR global community.

The event will take place online for 48 hours between 18th September 9am - 20th September 9am CET.

You are the ones that will shape this part of the event and we know it won't be perfect but we hope that you take this as great opportunity to be a part of something new! The success of the Ambassador Sessions will be up to you, you know that Positive Impact is a small not-for-profit and we are relying on you to help make the sessions work.

    • Your session can be any length of time- we recommend at least 15 minutes

    • We recommend writing your session title in a question format e.g. if your session is on how your event recycles, you could create a title like: “What did we learn when event X implemented a recycle programme?”

    • Provide as much detail as you can about who you would like to see your session, as this will help us to identify future opportunities which you and other Ambassadors may be interested in

 

How to add a session

Step 1
Add your session to the Positive Impact website

  • Click on the + Add session button below to add your session.

  • You will be asked to create an account so you can edit the content later if needed (if you have added a profile to our Ambassador directory you can log in with those same details).

  • Once you’ve added your session, you may need to refresh the page to see it it in the list below.

  • Please ensure that you fill in all the fields

 

Step 2
To access the event online and your session

  • Once you have registered your session here you will need to register on Hopin (the event platform). Please make sure you do this step!

  • You can register by clicking on the button below or using the registration link in your confirmation email

  • The full sessions will be listed only on this page so please make sure to check here for the schedule

  • If you cannot for any reason make your session, please make sure you delete it from this page

  • Once the event is open on the 18th September, you will then need to go to the Session section and add your session details in.

  • We have set the event for any attendee to be able to add a session so you don’t need to worry about speaker links. Just make sure you are in the event in plenty of time to add your session!

  • We would recommend that you select the ‘Record this session’ option when filling in the details so that we have the option to share your content on day 2!

 

Facilitating this opportunity means Positive Impact will:

  • Provide technology so you can deliver a session (please note: we cannot provide anything else, we cannot be held accountable for any platform issues out of our control, whilst Positive Impact will be present during some of the event we cannot be there for every session and cannot offer technical support)

  • Provide you with materials so you can promote the event and encourage your communities to attend

Please note Positive Impact is not able to provide any additional support, has the right to reject any inappropriate content, and will be recording your session.
