What is ISO 20121:2024?

ISO 20121:2024 is the global standard for event sustainability and it is suitable for the global event supply chain, including small to medium enterprises.


How do I get started?

The ‘‘ISO 20121:2024 Event Sustainability Management Course: From Understanding to Implementation," a collaborative; online course from BSI and Positive Impact Events, will equip your organisation with the knowledge and practical tools needed to effectively implement ISO 20121:2024.

  • This training product begins with a learning requirements course from BSI , this provides the user with an understanding of the standard, and forms a good foundation for transitioning to more sustainable business practices.

    Following this, you will continue with ISO20121:2024 implementation training materials, provided by Positive Impact Events. This online portal provides your organisation with a practical set of materials to support you to implement the global standard.

  • This course is suitable for (but not limited to) those operating in the following roles:

    If you are an external consultant or internal sustainability champion, these resources will also support you to deliver your roles.

  • Yes!

    For the BSI requirements course you’ll be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate of attendance, upgraded to a certificate of competence upon successful completion of the end of course assessment.

    For the implementation course if you decided to fill in the self evaluation form, you will receive 3 CPD hours. This is for one person.

  • The BSI ISO 20121:2012 Event Sustainability Management Requirements course takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

    We would advise around 1 year to fully implement The Positive Impact Implementation materials for ISO 20121:2024 - however this subject to varying factors such as the size of your organisation, time and resources.

  • Both courses are available for 1 year from the point of purchase.
