Who is behind Participate and why?
For over 15 years not for profit Positive Impact have been providing engagement, collaboration and education to create a sustainable event industry.
In 2020, Positive Impact provided education to up skill and build capacity of over 1,200 event professionals around the world. This community of event professionals received materials to empower them to build the future of how human connection happens within their communities enabling a reach of over 100,000 event professionals.
In 2021 the Participate campaign will provide further resources and opportunities to be in action and develop a narrative of the role of events (human interaction) in achieving the UN SDGs and enabling participation and inclusion in decision making (SDG 16.7.2).
Positive Impact has memorandums of understanding with a number of United Nations Bodies including UN Environment Programme, UNFCCC Secretariat and UN SDG Action Campaign.
